The Senior Management Team have overall corporate responsibility for Building Product Solutions long and short term strategy, leadership, management and organisation performance. The team focus at a strategic level on the business and on the delivery of all of its activities both internally and externally.


As an industry leader in the window and glazing sector for over 40 years. I have worked extremely hard to create an inspiring and creative landscape for our clients and our employees, with a strong emphasis on innovation and product quality. Everything we do at Building Product Solutions is about surpassing customer expectations to be nothing but exceptional, that’s what our business is all about.

I know the kind of company I want my name and reputation to be associated with and that’s what I have achieved through hard work, dedication and working with a team of motivated staff to achieve our company goals and objectives, without them none of this would be possible.


After many years in the construction industry, I still enjoy the challenge of being a woman in a male environment. Pretty scary sometimes, but I do enjoy my job. Working for Building Product Solutions within the new build sector I meet and deal with the top house builders in the country. I love to see the start of a site in a messy muddy field and watch it grow into a beautiful place where couple and family's come to live and enjoy the surroundings. There are many challenges in New Build both for the builder and the suppliers but we work as a team to accomplish the goal "Well built and efficient houses."

Building Product Solutions is now in its seventh year and growing from strength to strength, working with the major builder we aim to provide a "right first time service" and its always with a smile.

In 2014 I was named Business Person of the Year by the Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce and I was short-listed down to the last four for the Sheffield Business Person of the Year. 2014 was a great year and we built a platform for our business to expand and grow. I am so enjoying 2016, and we are exceeding all expectations.

I started my working career at Parcel Force initially as a driver and then I moved into the planning and logistics team. Moving on from Parcel Force I applied for a role working as a part time delivery driver here at Building Product Solutions. With my background and experience in planning and logistics the opportunity arose for me to carry out a new role working in the factory as the production manager looking after the factory and the team of glass operatives. Having been in this role for a number of years I was then promoted to the Production Director.

As the Production Director I am responsible for the planning, coordination and control of the manufacturing process here at Building Product Solutions. I ensure that all goods and services are produced efficiently and to our exacting standards of quality. A large part of my role is involved at the preproduction/planning stage as well as the production control and supervision stage where I am actively involved in product design and purchasing.

I started my working career as a YTS at John Carr, making PVCu windows in the factory. After a number of year’s, I left to work at Speedframe where I gained experience in gearing and hanging doors, while there I was consistently promoted to senior roles managing a team of people.

After leaving Speedframe I was instrumental in the setup of new company from its inception called Solarframe. My background and experience in the windows industry is second to none and after 3 years the opportunity to join Building Product Solutions arose. My initial role was as a fitter and as the company has grown over the last few years, I have been actively promoted into more managerial and client facing roles, which has led to my current role as Construction Director.


For the first 21 years of my career I worked within the Printing and Newspaper Industry carrying out such roles as Accounts and Secretarial, before eventually finding my niche as a HR generalist.

I decided to take the plunge in November 2015 and leave my role for some well-earned time out before exploring a new challenge. A few months later I accepted a HR Advisor’s role working with a local window & door manufacturer, as this exciting opportunity gave me the chance to implement a brand new HR service in the business for the first time.

The last 15-years of working in HR have been challenging and rewarding at the same time due to the vast array of issues I’ve come across. My skills and knowledge in HR and Business Management have gone from strength to strength over the years and I continuously educate and develop in this area.


I’ve worked in the window industry nearly all my working career from the age of 16. Starting at KWS Windows I learnt the majority of my trade working across every role that was involved with window production and manufacturing. I moved on to different roles using my wide knowledge hanging windows, welding and cutting and having a spell out of the industry working with car parts and understanding new technologies using robots, I added new abilities to my growing skill set. Moving back into the window industry I took up more senior roles until I came here to Building Product Solutions as the Glass Plant Manager, where my experience of working from start to finish of a complete unit has helped improved the quality of product and service that we deliver.


I have worked across a number of different industries and I was a presser in a sewing factory for the early part of my career and then moved over to work at Speed Frame making cavity closers. After having a career break I then joined Building Product Solutions as a Factory Manager where I ensure that the team work to the highest standards in accordance with our quality assurance policies and health and safety specifications. I manage the day-to-day operations of the factory team and also train new and existing employees on each work station and individual role, making sure that we have a multi skilled workforce and we can maintain our production levels.

I am passionate about working with people and the roles that I had prior to working at Building Product Solutions have all been in a customer service environment from working as an Activities Coordinator Apprentice to working with customers helping them dealing with online enquiries. I am a Site Liaison and Production Controller now which I really enjoy, it is a varied role with daily contact with our customers and also liaising internally with our fitting teams and also ensuring that workflows from order to completion.


I have had a varied and interesting career path which has allowed me to draw upon all my roles and bring them to this role I am now in today. Having been part of the opening of the first Thomas Cook in Meadowhall I worked on scheduled flights. I moved from there to work as a team leader at Carlson Wagonlit and being promoted to Assistant Manager I managed all of the business flights for our clients. I then moved to Woodcock travel again working on their business travel elite clients. After a number of years in the customer service industry I retrained to work as a sign language linguist and worked for Sense for 5 years and then I went on to work as a PA for a private client for a year before returning to work again in the customer services environment where I took a role here at Building Product Solutions as a Site Liaison and Production Controller and after 6 months in the role I was promoted to Customer Services Manager.


When I left school I took a 2-year Youth Training Scheme placement in Nursing. Once this training finished I then went on to work in retail sales which helped me to develop my communication skills and to be able to deal with difficult situations. I went on to work for Barrick Mouldings in an all-encompassing role where I ran the sales office, managed the accounts, carried out admin and reception duties. Building Product Solutions were one of my clients and when the company ceased to trade I was offered a role here to carry out the glass order processing and I have since progressed to the Evolution Order Processor.

When I left school I trained as a hairdresser, but quickly realised that it wasn’t the career for me. I was good at helping people and resolving issues and found a role in customer services that I felt I was better suited to. Having worked at a number of motor dealerships as a Customer Services Manager I knew I was good at leadership and was able to delegate, motivate and supervise a team of customer service assistants. My role here at Building Product Solutions is as an Office Manager it is an all-encompassing role and I run the office like a smooth ship. My main goal is to create happy customers and loyal staff.

I did a year Youth Training Scheme before I had a change of heart and for a number of companies throughout my career these being English Rose, JJ Fashions, Michael Mays, Claremont Gardens to name but a few carrying out a range of sewing machine roles. I left the industry to take up a role at Speed Frame on the shop floor working on the gearing for windows and also in the welding department, from there I moved into the wages department. I took a role at James Town Metals where I managed the order book for the sales and a number of admin functions. When Building Product Solutions was founded I was asked to come and work as the Estimating Manager where I prepare all of the quotes for our clients.


My career has been built around the window industry, having started my career in 1997 working at Speed Frame carrying out order processing, working on new build and placements as well as helping with any admin duties. I then went to work at Solar Frame in a similar role carrying out order processing and office admin. I then took up a new role at Building Product Solutions preparing quotations and submitting these to customers. With my vast experience I was instrumental in setting up new roles across the office environment and my current role is now both challenging and rewarding.

I’ve just started here at Building Product Solutions and I know I am a bit of a cheeky madam. My role is varied and interesting from colouring the latest board report to make it look more pretty, to ensuring that I keep everyone busy with my interesting chatter on what’s happening in the world of Lexi. So, if you see me walking around the office I’m probably looking for mischief, but I know that I’ve a killer smile that gets me out of trouble – just when I need it.

As the senior member of the security team I am tasked with the important role of monitoring who comes in and out of the building, but to also line manage my Security Assistant and partner in crime Polo. I find my role very interesting and rewarding as I stamp my authority on a regular basis and if things don’t go quite to plan then I sleep it off for a couple of hours until it does go my way.


I started here as a puppy with lots of fun and enthusiasm, but I must admit I did need some direction as I can often get a bit distracted and carried away day dreaming of bones mmm. I have a number of very interesting things to do here at Building Product Solutions one is specifically to bark whenever I feel like it, but I also like to alert everyone in the office when it’s time for something to eat which is all the time.
